My client is a global conference business focused company that hosts virtual and physical events with the focus of bringing together C-level executives from major b2b sectors including Tech, Pharma & Finance Markets, due to the next phase of growth a role has arisen for a talented Sales Manager ideally from a B2B Sponsorship background who can help the business grow with a view to managing a team down the line.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of inside sales/sponsorship sales experience in a B2B environment
- Experience with high volume calls/emails
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to think on your feet and navigate high level conversations
- Strong research experience
Responsibilities:
- To exceed agreed revenue targets for each campaign
- Practice effective time management; being able to identify, communicate, plan and prioritise objectives while working remotely.
- Research, identify and close new business
- Maximise revenue from new and current/previous sponsors
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with senior level decision makers (with a focus on maximising future revenue)
- Understand your customer’s needs and drivers. Build bespoke opportunities based on this understanding.
- Demonstrate aptitude for understanding the new concepts, topics, titles and industries that are represented in the conferences you sell.
- Demonstrate ability to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads/business
Skills/Character traits
- Ability to work remotely. Must have exceptional time management skills and work ethic.
- Ability to identify qualified, prospective clients and develop loyal customer relationships, mostly via phone and email.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proven ability to identify new revenue streams and execute a sales strategy that meets goals and objectives
- Internet research, prospecting, probing, lead generation and closing.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to work under pressure, organize and multi task Willingness to take ownership for personal targets and responsibilities
